  • Itinerary Activities
  • New Zealand is somewhat more of an adventurous, outdoorsy destination than most other Adventures by Disney destinations. Whenever possible, we have arranged an alternate activity, however, a few activities may not have a programmed alternate option readily available. This is an active trip with most activities being easy to moderate. Featured activities include walking and hiking, sailing on a yacht, ziplining, biking (with E-Bikes) and jetboating. Hikes include a 2-hour walk through a temperate rainforest and a rock-filled glacial valley in Franz Josef. There are several forest hikes. These hikes are all on unpaved trails and uneven terrain with some relatively gentle uphill sections. Temperatures may be hot during summer months (November–March), so be prepared with cool clothes, hats and water. During fall, winter and early-spring months (April–October), the weather can be very cold, so it is important to dress in layers.
