Explore the Natural Wonders of Catalan

Les Orgues is a unique site in France, a landscape of "fairy chimneys" possessing a fragile, ephemeral beauty. It exposes cliffs of sand and clay—patiently carved by the rain—to the elements. Erosion has worked like an artist, gouging, incising, and sculpting the material with gashes and striations to give the rock its raw, almost lunar appearance. On a hillside, explore Eus, one of the most beautiful villages (the sunniest in France) Nestled between the Conflent valley and Mount Canigou, Eus features facades that cascade in terraces down to the warm Catalan sun, which nurtures the village's lush vegetation. This former defensive stronghold had to repel the French in the 16th century and the Spanish army in the 18th century. Finish the tour by admiring the beautiful alter piece of Prades. At the time of the French Revolution, Prades received the magnificent Saint-Benoît altarpiece, entirely gilded with leaf, as well as the entire reliquary from Saint Michel de Cuxa.
Your experience
Stop 1
Surrounded by an environment that has formed over millions of years, you’ll be enchanted by these wonders of nature... Between clay contours and coloured sands, the Orgues of Ille-sur-Têt, nature’s masterpiece, will make your imagination run wild.
Stop 2
Perched atop its granite hill, the village of Eus is one of the most beautiful villages in France and also one of the sunniest. Once fortified, it is dominated by its imposing 18th-century church, Saint Vincent Church, built on the site of the old ruined castle. Historically, this former defensive site had to repel the French in the 16th century and the Spanish army in the 18th century.
Stop 3
The altarpiece built in 1866 shows Our Lady of Victories between Saint Anne and Saint Germaine. The keystone, dedicated to Saints Crispin and Crispinian, points to the primitive titular saints of this chapel where the brotherhood of tanners and shoemakers had established its seat.
