Bulgarian Wine Tasting Experience in Veliko Tarnovo
5.0 / 5 · 7 traveler reviews
Bulgaria has one of Europe’s oldest wine traditions, and this experience brings that heritage to life through the wines of our region. What makes the tasting special is the opportunity to discover wines from small Bulgarian wineries and local producers that many international travellers have never encountered before. You’ll explore distinctive Bulgarian grape varieties such as Gamza, Red Misket and Dimyat, while your host shares the stories behind the wines, the wineries and the terroir that shapes them. But this isn’t a formal wine lesson. Using our professional 88-aroma kit, you’ll smell, compare, taste and discover the wines for yourself in a relaxed and interactive way. More than a tasting, it’s a journey into Bulgarian wine culture — right in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo.
